Fly Creek Cider Mill hosts National Kidney Foundation of Northeast New York

This Sunday, October 19, the National Kidney Foundation of Northeast New York will conduct free Diabetes and Hypertension Screening at the Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard in Fly Creek, NY. The screening offered from 11:00 until 3:00 is open to all visitors. “This event will provide a great service to the Cooperstown and regional community and will integrate nicely with the activities and facilities that the Mill provides,” said Rebecca Conklin of the National Kidney Foundation. Along with the screening the Mill will be performing cider-making demonstrations on its 1889 water-powered cider press and will offer over 40 samples of their famous foods including cave-aged cheddar cheese and sweet, butter-cream fudge. Sunday will also feature a performance by lyricist and impressionist, Ody B. Goldy, who will entertain visitors with his humorous tributes to well-known performers. Name the song and writer and win some fresh cider. The screening and parking are free. Registration is not required.
