Otsego County Safe Kids to Showcase Halloween Program

Safe Kids of Otsego County will offer Halloween and pedestrian safety materials to assist in keeping kids safe during the popular Trick or Treat event. Reflective Halloween bags, along with reflective stickers will be available at the Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard Saturday, October 24th from 10:00 until 4:00. The bags and reflectors are designed to help kids and adults avoid traffic dangers and to stay safe during the busy evening holiday. According to Rich McCaffery, a Community Educator with Bassett Healthcare and Co-coordinator of Safe Kids, everyone in the community should be sensitive to the need for keeping kids safe around traffic.
A promotional display reading Be Safe, Be Seen this Halloween! along with the bags and reflectors will be available at the Mill. A suggested 50-cent donation for the reflective bags, stickers and accompanying hand-outs benefit all Safe Kids initiatives.

Safe Kids Worldwide is the first and only international non-profit organization dedicated solely to preventing unintentional childhood injury. Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown, the lead agency for Safe Kids in Otsego County, has always been dedicated to programs promoting healthy kids and healthy communities.
